American Farm Bureau Insurance Services, Inc. (AFBIS, Inc.), provider of support and crop insurance services to Farm Bureau insurance companies, is looking for an Agency Account Manager. The territory for this position will primarily be Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. This position requires regular regional travel to visit client sites and occasional national travel to industry meetings and conferences. Travel may be up to 50% (at times it might be more based on business needs) if you reside in the region and will be greater if you reside outside of the region.
As a member of our Training and Marketing team, you will partner with AFBIS teams, AmericanAg®, Farm Bureau® insurance companies, agencies, and their agents in crop insurance sales, marketing, training, and education. The Agency Account Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading agent training and education (in person and virtual) of federal crop, hail, and private product insurance
- Assisting in resolving problems and proactively providing value added services to accounts
- Developing and implementing account service plans highlighting deliverables, issues, and technical needs and managing day-to-day agency customer service needs
- Leading client onboarding efforts
- Coaching agents in preparing and executing growth plans
- Gathering, analyzing, and providing industry information for the benefit of the agency
- Demonstrating an understanding of crop insurance and how it ties to agricultural and farming
- Attending and presenting at agent farmer meetings
- Assisting in the design/re-design of clients' crop insurance agency
- Acting as an ambassador for AFBIS with our clients
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5 years' experience in crop insurance sales, training, underwriting, or agency management
- Experience coaching and developing agents is a plus
- Knowledge of agriculture and farm management
- Strong Leadership, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently
- Able to use Microsoft Office tools
- Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record

Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
