Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sales Specialist position based in Kansas City, MO. In this role, you’ll build meaningful client relationships, uncover customer needs, and deliver tailored insurance solutions that protect what matters most.
You’ll work with leads provided by the agency while also strengthening your consultative sales skills through daily customer conversations, follow-up, and account reviews. Income expectation is $60,000 yearly, you'll earn your money from a base pay plus uncapped commission structure.
This role is ideal for someone who wants more than “just a sales job.” I’m looking for a motivated professional who has a long-term goal of owning their own American Family Insurance agency, Agents regularly make over $200,000 yearly. I’ve already helped develop and promote one team member into an agency owner, and I’m ready to mentor and support the next one.
Qualifications (Sales Focused)
- Confident, persuasive communicator who enjoys starting conversations and earning trust quickly
- Proven sales drive—motivated by goals, competition, and building a strong pipeline
- Strong closing skills and the ability to overcome objections while keeping the customer experience positive
- Comfortable making outbound calls, following up consistently, and turning provided leads into appointments and sales
- Organized and disciplined with activity tracking, follow-up, and time management
- Tech-comfortable and able to use a CRM to manage opportunities and stay on top of next steps
- Prior sales experience preferred (insurance, financial services, automotive, wireless, or other high-volume sales environments a plus)
- Property & Casualty license required (or willing to obtain within an agreed-upon timeframe after hire)
