Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant / X-Ray Technician to join our urgent care team. This role performs both medical assisting and radiographic imaging duties to support providers in diagnosing injuries and illnesses. The ideal candidate must be certified as a Medical Assistant and licensed to perform X-ray procedures, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate and professional manner
- Perform medical assistant duties including patient intake, vital signs, documentation, and assisting providers during exams and procedures
- Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Perform radiographic imaging following provider orders and urgent care protocols
- Practice ALARA radiation safety principles at all times
- Process and review images for proper identification, positioning, and quality control
- Prepare images for physician interpretation and radiologist over-reads as required
- Utilize digital and non-digital imaging equipment in compliance with approved radiology techniques, policies, and procedures
- Assist providers with prescribed patient treatments according to established standards, policies, and protocols
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot minor malfunctions, and coordinate repairs as needed
- Complete and maintain accurate forms, records, logs, and reports
- Assist with front desk or administrative duties when needed within scope of practice
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
Qualifications

Current Medical Assistant certification required

Current X-ray licensure required per state regulations required
- Technical school or equivalent experience (6 months–1 year) in a clinical or urgent care setting

ARRT registration or ARRT-eligible preferred
- Prior urgent care, emergency, or high-volume clinical experience preferred
- Strong patient service skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $22 - $28
