What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Porter/Evening Janitor Positions position at American Facility Services?
Evening (5pm-8am) part time janitorial positions available in Carrboro, NC. Work days are Monday-Friday. Job duties would consist of routine janitorial services (Dusting, Vacuuming, Sweeping, Mopping, Restroom Cleaning, Taking Out Trash and Replacing Liners, disinfecting and wiping down/scrubbing surfaces clean, Glass/Mirror Cleaning, Stocking Soap/paper products, etc). Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from the job site and the ability to pass a background check.
We are ideally seeking evening janitor candidates who can also help to cover the 10am-1pm day porter shift if we need their assistance.

Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas including offices, and common spaces.
- Dust, vacuum, and mop floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Clean windows and surfaces inside and out as required.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are used efficiently and safely.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure quality standards.
- Auto Scrubbing
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial or residential cleaning preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks efficiently.
