Position Summary
AMFAC is seeking a reliable and skilled Part-Time Handyman / Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and light construction services at client facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while consistently representing AMFAC with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and finish work.
• Conduct light plumbing and electrical work within non-licensed scope (fixture replacement, minor leak repairs, outlets, switches, lighting components).
• Install, adjust, and repair doors and hardware (locks, hinges, closers, assemblies).
• Assemble and install fixtures, shelving, equipment, and signage.
• Conduct site inspections to identify maintenance, safety, or operational issues.
• Complete assigned work orders promptly and in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and site conditions (including photographs when required).
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, site contacts, and clients regarding scope, progress, and completion.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or handyman services.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Proficiency in safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
