Position Overview:
American Facilities Professionals is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Facilities Services Account Manager (Sales) to lead new business acquisition efforts and manage existing client relationships within the facilities services industry.
This role requires a high level of cold outreach, local market development, contract negotiation, and the ability to build relationships with both clients and vendors. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue, structuring custom solutions, and developing strategic local partnerships that support operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Cold Outreach & Lead Generation:
Proactively identify and pursue new client opportunities through cold calls, emails, and in-person outreach
Leverage platforms like HubSpot and ZoomInfo to manage pipeline and generate quality leads
- Market Research & Territory Development:
Conduct research to identify trends, competitors, and service gaps in local markets
Develop relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and material suppliers to support client service delivery
- Account & Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships that drive retention and satisfaction
- Contract Negotiation & Deal Structuring:
Negotiate and close contracts, including recurring facility service agreements and custom deal structures tailored to client needs.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation prior to service launch
- Sales Execution & Revenue Growth:
Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Client Success & Coordination:
Collaborate with Client Success, Operations, and Planning teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
Proactively manage issues and maintain high standards of client satisfaction
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
Monitor key metrics and forecast activity using HubSpot CRM
Deliver regular reports on account health, performance, and opportunities
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Facilities Services, B2B account management, or field-based business development
- Proven success in cold outreach, territory growth, and contract negotiation
- Strong understanding of recurring service contract models and ability to customize service offerings
- Experience using HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and CRM systems for pipeline management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to develop relationships and work with senior level executives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Able to compile and analyze performance data to develop metrics that support decision-making for resource allocation
