What are the responsibilities and job description for the MASON position at American Exteriors LLC?
Must be able to read and comprehend architectural plans to understand scope of work and calculate the materials required and be able to distinguish the difference between plans and fieldconditions.Assist in developing the layout and sheathing of walls on site to comply with the architectural plans.Must be able to operate mixers and power tools associated with masonry work.Must be able to operate scissors lifts and erect scaffolding.Knowledge of wall and window preparation for installation including applying vapor barrier, wire lath and cement scratch coat.Shape, trim and cut stone or brick using power saws, cutting equipment and hand tools.Install stone or brick, remove spacers, fill and finish joints using a trowel and smooth mortar to an aesthetically pleasing finish.Repair and replace worn or damaged sections of existing concrete, brick or stone.Must be OSHA certified and comply with all safety standards.
