The GMNS Product team is at the heart of American Express—powering millions of transactions through our global payments processing network, which we develop and grow. GMNS Product represents an outstanding opportunity within American Express. As an associate of digital product operations, in the Network Partner and Product Enablement team, you will be responsible for the onboarding and certifying of new & existing customers to AMEX Payment products. (e.g. EMV Chip Processing, 3D Secure, Quick Response Code, Mobile/Digital Wallets, Click to Pay). This entails connecting AMEX’s Merchants, Processors and Network Partners to validate their authorization and clearing messages to ensure they follow the AMEX specifications. The successful candidate will also provide needed overviews to AXP NAS network products, capabilities and policies to external and internal customers which help our partners benefit from our product suite to grow their business!

Responsibilities
- Performing certification projects related to the certification of, authorization and financial settlement messages that support new and existing payment products such as but not limited to: EMV Chip Processing, 3D Secure, Quick Response Code, Mobile Wallets and Click to Pay.
- Develop and maintain relationships with multiple internal customers, to ensure a proactive understanding of the certification and deployment process.
- Support and provide consultancy to our external customers about our certification processes and tools.
- Support the upgrade of our tools, processes, and documentation whenever changes are required by regulation, new product launches, and developments in the industry.
- Ensure efficient process controls, and governance.
- Knowledge of payment / card industry technology.
- Can readily understand Payments related Authorization & Settlements specifications, decipher the contents, and use that knowledge to validate test results. Can independently identify root causes that can arise during certification & resolve them.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret trends and assist in resolving issues.
- Positive relationship management and collaboration skills to influence without authority, both internally and externally, across multiple international territories, and with different cultural considerations.
- Flexibility and resilience to operate within a fast paced and dynamic environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with external business partners and internal teams. Proven oral and written communication skills. Preference in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and to lead taking them forward.
- Self-motivated, with growth mindset, and results driven oriented. Must have the ability to work without supervision in a matrix organization, demonstrating strong teamwork.
