What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer - Land Development position at American Engineering?
About the Company:
American Engineering is actively seeking Civil Engineers specialized in Land Development in our Charlotte, NC office who are eager to be part of a growing engineering firm.
As part of American Engineering, individuals will play a critical role within the design teams, creating solutions for projects within the Land Development and / or Water Resources sectors. A successful candidate will be responsible for creating the design and development of a variety of civil engineering and land planning projects to track for Project Management.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience with AutoCAD and CAD / Civil 3D.
- EI preferred (or can obtain shortly after starting).
- Strong working knowledge in Civil drafting – road plans, commercial site plans, and residential subdivisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and spoken.
- Experience with grading, drainage and stormwater management design, and erosion and sediment control a PLUS.
- Eager to learn and grow as an individual.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working on-site in an office setting.
- Willing to relocate or commute to South Charlotte.
