Job description:
American Endovascular is an Interventional Radiology out-patient company. We’re looking for an EXPERIENCED Interventional Radiology Coder to join our growing team. This person will assign ICD-10 and CPT codes as appropriate for office-based IR services. The ideal candidate should reside on the East Coast (EST) preferably in Pennsylvania.
Duties:
- Participate in the day–to-day tasks necessary to appropriately code and enter all charges related to patient services including gathering of all charges via automated and manual methods from the physicians and our EMR.
Required Experience:
- Current, valid AAPC Certification as a Certified Professional Coder.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in medical coding.
- Coding knowledge/experience specific to Interventional Radiology preferred but E&M coding experience required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to handle a high volume of charges while maintaining high level of accuracy
- Preferred Interventional Coding experience.
Desired Experience:
- Familiarity with CMS guidelines as well as available coding resources: i.e. AAPC.
- Familiarity with revenue cycle and understanding of clinical and billing systems.
- Positive attitude and outlook with the ability to be a true team player.
