Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards to ensure a spotless environment
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies with proper manual handling techniques
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with hotel policies and industry regulations
- Use janitorial equipment efficiently, including floor buffers, steam cleaners, and cleaning carts
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning, industrial cleaning, and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Skilled in using various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and steam cleaners
