Due to growth, we are looking for a Compliance Specialist based out of our Elmsford, NY location.
Reporting to the Manager, Compliance, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for addressing all violations and deficiencies by notifying customers, assigning tasks to the appropriate internal teams, and ensuring timely completion of all corrective actions. This role will also coordinate with the Compliance department to manage and resolve identified issues.

Reporting to the Manager, Compliance, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for addressing all violations and deficiencies by notifying customers, assigning tasks to the appropriate internal teams, and ensuring timely completion of all corrective actions. This role will also coordinate with the Compliance department to manage and resolve identified issues.
Responsibilities
- Working with our CRM system (FIELDBOSS), manage deficiencies and violations
- Support associates on all relevant compliance procedures.
- Consult with customers about all customer related issues, including building deficiencies and billable proposals to cure elevator deficiencies.
- Research, review, generate and issue customer proposals to correct cited deficiency.
- Ensure all work associated with deficiencies is complete and action with compliancy group.
- Regularly prepare a range of compliance open deficiency reports for meetings.
- Act as a backup dispatcher, taking customer calls along with emails and generating service calls. Assigning service calls to respective field technicians.
- Partner with management to review elevator compliance activities.
- Coordinate with customers and elevator repair department to schedule repairs.
- Update the customers with progress reports on proposed works.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- Moderate contact with regulatory agencies.
- Associate’s degree in business administration, Auditing, or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an audit or compliance role, preferably in the Elevator Industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
