About the Role
American Ecotech is seeking a motivated and technically proficient IT Technician to join our Information Technology team. Based at our Warren, RI headquarters, the IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining hardware and software systems, and supporting our internal users across multiple locations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective technical support to employees via phone, email, or in person
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot issues related to workstations, printers, mobile devices, and basic networking
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including device provisioning and account setup
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track IT assets
- Assist in maintaining network and server infrastructure under the direction of senior IT staff
- Document technical procedures, resolutions, and support requests
- Ensure all work adheres to IT policies and security standards
Qualification
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- One to three years of hands-on experience in an IT support or technician role
- Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking principles
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified Professional are preferred

Hours: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
