JOB TITLE: MACHINE ROOM TRAINING SPECIALIST

Job Description & Duties:
Assist with the devopment and delivery of new hire and ongoing trainings for the Machine Room Laborer, 4 Broke Hustler, 3 Broke Hustler, 4 Winder Operator, 3 Winder Operator, and 3 Back Tender. This role may include training for the 4 Machine Tender and 3 Machine Tender in the future. This role ensures the proper training of all new hires and current employees moving into a new position within the Machine Room. Strong emphasis on safety, communication and teamwork. This list is not all-inclusive and additional duties may be assigned based on workload and operational needs.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow all mill and department safety policies and procedures. Follow all lockout/tagout requirements.

Wear the required PPE and maintain a safe and clean working area.

Responsibilities:
-
Assist with designing, developing and implementing trainings for new hires and current employees moving into a new position within the Machine Room.

Assist with development of training materials.
-
Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts in training development and delivery.

Collaborate with internal partners to ensure smooth coordination of training times and spaces.

Assist with role playing and live monitoring.

Quality Control & Record-Keeping:

Maintain training records for all machine room hourly production employees.

Maintain database of all internal trainings.
Qualifications and Competencies:

Must be a current or former Machine Room employee at the position of 3 Back Tender, 4 Machine Tender or 3 Machine Tender.

Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively in a high-speed production environment.

Positive attitude, ability to guide and train others, and lead with empathy and compassion.

Strong teamwork skills, and effective communication.

Willingness to learn and take initiative in supporting production needs.

Work Environment:

Work in a production facility exposed to extreme heat and humidity.

Exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, and wet surfaces.

Requires standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods.

Requires lifting, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50lbs.

Shift work may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
