The Intern - Network Engineering will support the Network and Security team in maintaining and monitoring network systems. This role provides hands-on experience with network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and documentation. Interns will assist with basic configuration tasks, help desk support, and gain exposure to enterprise networking technologies.
Location – American Eagle Financial Center, East Hartford CT

Key Responsibilities
- Support
- Assist with basic configuration and troubleshooting of network hardware and software.
- Support help desk operations by logging and resolving network-related tickets.
- Participate in network equipment inventory and documentation updates.
- Network Monitoring
- Shadow team members during network maintenance and installations.
- Help monitor network performance and uptime using provided tools.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for network activities.
- Network Security
- Gain exposure to network security tools and practices.
- Support patch management and system updates under supervision.
- Assist with remediation of vulnerabilities under supervision.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects.
- Assist with physical security maintenance and support.
Education and/or Experience
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong interest in networking and IT infrastructure. Prior coursework or hands-on experience with networking concepts is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations (if applicable):
None required. Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network , Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
