CDL A Driver – Paid Training Provided

American Driver is hiring CDL A drivers in Lakeland, FL. Lakeland sits on I-4 between Tampa and Orlando in Polk County — one of central Florida's most active logistics corridors with year-round freight demand and direct access to Eastern OTR routes.

This is a full-time W2 position with a fully paid training program for drivers who have completed their CDL school hours.

Training:

• 4–6 weeks with a dedicated mentor, fully paid
• Live freight from day one — real loads, real routes
• ELD, HOS, pre/post trip inspections covered in detail
• Weekly pay throughout the entire program
• Solo transition at $0.56 CPM after completion
  
  
  

What the Job Looks Like:

• Dry van, no-touch freight
• Around 60% drop and hook
• 2,200–2,500 miles per week
• Eastern routes with consistent year-round freight
• Day and night dispatch depending on load
  
  
  

Pay:

• $0.56–$0.65 CPM based on experience
• Weekly earnings typically $1,200–$1,500
• Extra pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns
• Six-month pay increase
• $300 paid orientation
• Weekly direct deposit
  
  
  

Home Time:

• Planned home reset every two weeks
  
  
  

Equipment:

• Assigned Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025)
• APUs on all units

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL, age 21
