Summary

The Director of Nutrition Services is responsible for managing and executing the district-wide nutrition programs for all feeding sites.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the operations and activities of district-wide food service programs.
  • Develop systems for procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution of USDA commodity foods.
  • Achieve service and sanitation objectives in accordance with USDA rules, Health, Safety and Food Academy ADC policies.
  • Perform in a leadership role to train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of all food service team members.
  • Act as a partner to the school district to ensure best-in-class operations, food quality, and presentation.
  • Manage the preparation and service of meals, maintain accurate reports on a timely basis.
  • Achieve company issued KPI's for performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, hospitality, food service management or related field.
  • Minimum five years related experience in a large-scale food preparation and site management environment.
  • Registered Dietician preferred but not required.
  • Effective leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Elevated level of understanding or willingness to learn about various state, federal and company programs.
