What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Technician position at American Digital Security?
Summary/Objective
The lead field technician is responsible for managing the day-to-day jobsite performance of field technicians. This person will have to install/service systems independently while checking in on active larger projects. This position is to ensure installations assigned to them will be installed in a professional and accurate manner meeting all the requirements of the project scope.
Essential Functions

- Project Management
- Ensure all devices are installed where designated
- Ensure all programming is complete before leaving site
- Keep sales informed if they need to be involved with changes to scope
- Keep up on trainings on core product lines and ADS installation techniques
- Run service calls and troubleshoot customer equipment
- Manage inventory for service calls and job installations
- Work with project managers on completion and scheduling of ongoing projects
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager and/or Vice President

Supervisory Responsibilities
Lead level field personnel will monitor and manage onsite labor to deliver a project on time and as designed.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
This position may require long hours and out of town travel to a multitude of locations. New construction sites, schools, offices and factory environments. This position also operates in various weather environments outdoors and indoors. The physical demands are driven by the needs of our employees and customers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 100 pounds.
Required Education, Experience & Abilities
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years industry experience
