Job Overview – Cashier (American Deli)
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at American Deli. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, and helping create a positive dining experience.
As a cashier, you will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders accurately, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and organized front area. We are seeking individuals who are punctual, responsible, and able to deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Take customer orders accurately at the register
- Operate POS system for cash, card, and mobile payments
- Ensure order accuracy and coordinate with kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter and dining area
- Restock napkins, utensils, sauces, and other front-house supplies
- Answer customer questions about menu items
- Handle customer concerns politely and professionally
- Follow all food-handling and safety guidelines
- Assist with basic closing/opening duties as needed
