American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) is seeking a Production Intern to support our Manufacturing and Production teams. This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with operations, planning, and supply chain functions while contributing to meaningful, day-to-day business activities.
This role is ideal for students who want exposure to how production environments actually run…not just theory, but execution, coordination, and problem-solving.

Compensation: Competitive starting hourly rate of $18/hour

What You’ll Do
Production & Data Support
- Assist in updating and maintaining vendor contact information within ERP system
- Sort and organize data within spreadsheets to support quoting and bid preparation
- Upload bills of materials (BOMs) into Wrike for use by Production Planning and Scheduling
Inventory & Vendor Coordination
- Support vendors with organizing inventory in preparation for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs
- Assist with organizing and sorting product into designated inventory locations
- Help maintain inventory accuracy and organization across production areas
Operational Support
- Assist with general production coordination and administrative support tasks
- Collaborate with team members across departments to support workflow efficiency
- Gain exposure to production planning, purchasing, and shop operations
What We’re Looking For
Education
- Currently enrolled in a post high school technical school, or college program
Skills & Experience
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, organizing data, basic formulas)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Interest in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or business processes
- Ability to learn systems and project tools

REQUIREMENTS
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship

- Ability to meet the posted schedule and maintain reliable attendance
- Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE when in or around shop areas
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
- Ability to work on-site in Douglassville, PA
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate shop and warehouse environments
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25–40 lbs as needed
- Ability to work safely around moving equipment and materials
Work Environment
- Combination of office and manufacturing/shop environment
- Exposure to production areas, inventory locations, and operational workflows
- Regular interaction with production, purchasing, and planning teams
- Required use of PPE in designated areas
