The Demand Planner must ensure the organization purchases enough goods or materials to satisfy customer or production needs. The IA will follow through with analysis of current inventory levels and help identify any deficiencies and inefficiencies, making correct recommendations.

Job Duties:

Work closely with Sales Channel Managers, Finance, and Business leadership to create and
manage Demand Forecasts for supply, procurement, and distribution
Ensure demand plan is updated and maintained in a timely manner to accurately drive weekly
MRP runs
Monitor weekly demand to identify trends, noting outliers and deviations from plan, and make
adjustments accordingly
Work closely with procurement team to identify shortages, overstocks and other product issues,
create action plan and make adjustments as required
Perform monthly evaluation of projected stock balances, min/max levels, weeks of supply
analysis, inventory turns, excess and obsolete inventory, and identify forecasted/non forecasted
inventory requirements
Work to seek improvements to process, technique, and execution, as well as adoption of
improved systems and or tools
Create and publish metrics to evaluate overall plan/process effectiveness
Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis
Create and analyze daily reorder and fill reports
Analyze and correct inventory transactions
Maintain aging inventory reporting system
Maintain a SKU performance system
Timely update of product availability fields
Practice honesty and integrity in customer relationships
Follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug free workplace

Job Requirements:

ERP experience preferred, specifically Sage 100
Strong grasp of inventory management processes and best practices
Experience in Consumer goods industry a plus
Ability to coordinate large projects across multiple workgroups
Strong Analytical Skills and ability to communicate details clearly and effectively
Must have expert Excel Skills (e.g. macros, complex formulas, pivots, queries)
Attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
