POSITION PURPOSE
The Accounts Receivable Manager in a construction company plays a critical role in managing the incoming cash flow and ensuring timely collection of payments. This role manages the accounts receivable functions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Will oversee collection activities such as follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past-due accounts, and keeping track of cash receipts.
Essential Job Functions
Invoicing and Billing: Sends accurate invoices to clients for services rendered, materials supplied, or work completed on construction projects. This includes ensuring proper documentation and adherence to billing schedules
Payment Collection: Monitors and follows up on outstanding payments from clients, subcontractors, or other parties involved in the projects. This involves communication and reminders to outstanding parties.
Account Reconciliation: Reconciles accounts, resolves discrepancies, and ensures accuracy in receivable balances, payments received, and outstanding invoices. Enters Owner change orders and H310s.
Administrative : Manages contract files, intercompany billings and payments (ACE Yards, Blithiare House).
Reporting and Analysis: Generates reports on accounts receivable aging, cash collection, and other relevant metrics. Analyzes data to provide insights into trends and areas for improvement
Compliance and Documentation: Ensures compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards. Maintains accurate records, including obtaining and renewing all necessary business licenses, and documentation related to accounts receivable transactions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least five (5) years of experience in accounting and finance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
