Support manufacturing and engineering departments by manufacturing various production and prototypecomponents, fixtures, and tools.______________________________________________________________Responsibilities:- Machine complex tooling and fixtures working with Manufacturing Engineering and DesignEngineering- Creating and proofing CNC programs using Proto-Trak- Set-up and run of manual machine shop equipment including mills, lathes, drill presses, shears,saws, etc.- Set up and run CNC lathes (2 axis) and mills (2 axis) in prototype and production environment.- Set-up and operate surface grinding machines.- Develop, fabricate, and sharpen various cutting tools and specialty tools.- Inspect GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) features using basic and advancedinspection techniques.- Cut open units to complete production operations.- Assist shop management in training shop employees in common machine shop practices andcompany specific processes and procedures.- All other duties as assigned.______________________________________________________________Qualifications:Required:- High mechanical aptitude- Proficiency in trigonometry- Working knowledge of computers.- Understand the mechanics of chip formation and metal cutting.- Knowledge of ANSI/EIA RS – 274 (“G” code NC programs)- High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution- 5 years’ experience in trade as a tool maker.- Experience or formal education in design/drafting with emphasis on CAD- Resides within a reasonable commuting distance.- US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, USPermanent resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or RefugeePreferred:- AS in technical field.
