ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures the health and safety of all employees that are in the Plant Supervisor's areas of responsibility. Monitor production output, product quality and shipmentsEnsure compliance with all state, federal regulations, and company policies Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of hourly employees.Must be able to perform riggingMaintain the Plant mechanical systems in safe operating conditionWorks to ensure that all safety, maintenance, and cost objectives are met or exceeded for Plant operationsAbility to communicate effectivelyCommunicates mine plans, changes and company policies and procedures to other supervisors & employeesPositioned in a mine maintenance department supporting all surface equipmentMaintain communication equipment in operable conditionAssist in the preventive maintenance program for assigned areaRegular inspection of equipment to ensure operating condition and removing from service for repair when requiredOrder parts and supplies for repair workParticipate in the evaluation of equipment life as to rebuilds or replacementsRead/interpret prints/schematicsOther plant related maintenance duties as assignedEXPERIENCE:Must have prior coal prep plant experience· Electrical experience is preferredJOB REQUIREMENTSMSHA Surface certification requiredMust be 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED, preferredRegular and punctual attendanceReliable transportationConstruction or related experience is preferredUnderground training is not requiredRigging experience is preferredWelding and cutting metal are preferredMust be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independentlyJob duties will be performed on or above the surface.
