ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must work safely in the mines
- Will be required to become familiar with the drilling rig and be able to do minor repairs.
- Must learn the art/science of horizontal drilling from senior drillers
- Must learn how to lay and dismantle gas pipe lines and will be required to carry pipes short distances and load/unload them
- Must be able to plug a borehole after it ceases to produce gas
- In-house training will be provided to the new employee with the expectation of learning all functions of the job within 1 to 2 years
Experience
- At least one to two (1-2) years previous underground mining experience with Black Hat Certification, preferred but should at least have Red Hat Certification, minimum
- Any additional skill, such as welding, machining, electrical certification, knowledge of industrial hydraulics is preferred
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Compliance with company policies, procedures and safety standard
- Must perform in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
- Must have completed the 80-hour apprentice mining class and possess Red Hat certification
- Must be capable of effectively, efficiently and accurately performing duties
- Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
- Must be able to successfully complete industry approved training courses
- Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
JOB SCHEDULE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices)
- Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule on a 24/7 basis (subject to the applicant’s religious practices)
- Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
- Ability to push/pull as needed
- Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
- Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50 pounds as needed
