Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Slot Technician to join our dynamic team at a multi-faceted company in the casino/slot machines business. The Slot Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting slot machines to ensure optimal performance and guest satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of gaming equipment, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively. We expect you to know how to diagnose and fix, reset....etc all types of machines including but not limited to: Aeristocrat, Bally, IGT, Aruze....etc. This opportunity requires monthly traveling between our wartehouse in Ocala, FL and our casino in the beautiful Caribbean island of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize. In addition to travel expenses, we will provide housing and transportation (fun street legal golf cart) while on the island.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on slot machines to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with gaming equipment and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with any concerns related to slot machines.
- Manage cash handling processes associated with slot machine operations, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Supervise the daily operations of the slot area, ensuring compliance with casino policies and procedures.
- Lead and train junior technicians in best practices for machine maintenance and guest services.
- Handle conflict management effectively, addressing guest complaints or issues with professionalism.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall gaming experience for guests.
Qualifications
- Basic math skills are essential for cash handling and machine diagnostics.
- Previous experience in a casino environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to manage teams effectively and demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Experience in supervising staff is a plus.
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques to handle guest concerns efficiently.
- Familiarity with gaming equipment is advantageous but training will be provided.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
