What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crime Scene Investigations Instructor position at American Collegiate Adventures?
American Collegiate Adventures runs pre-college summer programs for high school students. Our students attend courses, participate in activities, and go on weekend excursions to experience and preview college life. We offer a residential program at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.
We are seeking an instructor for our CSI Course.
The course will run from June 29 - July 16.
Course times from 11:15am to 12:45pm Monday through Friday.
Course description:
Successful CSI requires hands-on training and a step-by-step process in the discovery, preservation, and collection of physical evidence. In this course, you will examine the techniques CSI’s collect and preserve evidence from delicate crime scenes. Learn about crime scene management; diagramming and sketching; photography; fingerprint, bloodstain pattern analysis. The instructor will create a mock crime scene and you will collect and interpret the evidence. Prepare to experience what you see on CSI!
Instructors will create their own syllabus to be approved by ACA based off the course description.
Pay rate for each 3-week course: $650
Additional one time preparation stipend of $100
