Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to lead customs and trade compliance activities, including regulatory oversight, customs audits, and import/export risk management. This position is critical to ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements and to mitigating operational and regulatory risk across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure ongoing compliance with CBP regulations, applicable trade laws, and internal policies
· Plan and execute internal audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments; document findings and corrective actions
· Review and validate HTS classification, customs valuation, country-of-origin determinations, and duty applicability
· Serve as the primary point of contact for CBP inquiries, audits, and post-entry actions, including protests and post-entry corrections, as applicable
· Develop, maintain, and deliver compliance standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training programs for relevant stakeholders
· Monitor and interpret regulatory and tariff developments (e.g., Sections 301 and 232) and assess business impact; recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications:
· 5–8 years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or a related discipline
· Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) strongly preferred
· Demonstrated knowledge of HTS, CBP regulations, and ACE
· Experience supporting customs audits, inquiries, and regulatory filings
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
· Bilingual proficiency (English/Mandarin) preferred
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
