Construction Project Manager - Heavy Civil

Overview

American Civil Constructors West Coast, established in 1987, is a Heavy Civil Construction company. We are qualified to bid and perform work for State DOT's and City & County Public Works agencies all over the United States.

We are currently hiring for a full-time Project Manager to work out of our Benicia, CA office. We offer relocation assistance for this position!

Location & Travel Details:This location-based position encompasses worksites throughout the United States andrequires an average of 25%travel. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. When overnight travel is required, meals and lodging will also be provided.

• Scheduling; Tracking Production and Inventory
• Handling Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
• Coordinating & Supervising Varying Work Schedules (for Day/Night Work) and Crew Mobilizations from job to job
• Working Closely with Project Owners, Prime Contractors, Inspectors, Field Engineers, Field Superintendents and Subcontractors/Suppliers as needed to successfully complete our construction projects

• Bachelor?s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management. Other majors may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• 5 years of construction related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
• Ability to multi-task in a challenging construction environment
• Excellent computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Willingness to learn, good organizational and time management skills, ability to work as a team, great communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Primavera P6 is highly desired
• Valid drivers license required
