Raw Materials Buyer
Position Summary
The Raw Materials Buyer is responsible for supporting raw material procurement activities, supplier coordination, sourcing support, contract administration, inventory monitoring, and procurement execution across multiple manufacturing locations. This role supports strategic sourcing initiatives while developing commercial procurement capability through direct involvement in supplier negotiations, market analysis, and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute purchase orders for raw materials and assigned commodities.
- Monitor inventory levels and support continuity of supply.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and supplier communications.
- Support supplier negotiations and sourcing activities.
- Assist with preparation and administration of supplier agreements and contracts.
- Monitor raw material market trends and pricing activity.
- Support spend analysis and sourcing evaluations.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and governance requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of procurement, purchasing, logistics, or manufacturing support experience.
- Chemical purchasing or industrial raw material buying experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or industrial procurement experience preferred.

Work Environment
