CHEMTREC, a world-leading emergency response call center that operates on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week, providing emergency response information wherever hazardous materials are manufactured, stored, transported, or used, currently has an opportunity for a Manager, Training, Outreach and Partnerships. CHEMTREC is a service of the American Chemistry Council (ACC). The ACC represents more than 170 leading chemical companies. Many of these member companies are registered with CHEMTREC for shipping resources and emergency response support.
The position is responsible for supporting the TRANSCAER program in the U.S. and Mexico and overseeing emergency response training and grant initiatives related to hazardous materials transportation. This position is also responsible for managing grant funding, regulatory compliance and building strategic partnerships while leading national outreach efforts. The position reports directly to the Director, Training, Outreach and Partnership.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least three years of relevant experience. Ability to travel up to 50%, including evenings/weekends, strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other project management software and a high level of attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment are a must. Experience with virtual meeting platforms is a plus.
