What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Political Mobilization position at American Chemistry Coun?
Position Summary:
The position is responsible for enhancing the American Chemistry Council (ACC)'s advocacy efforts by assisting and motivating member companies and third-party groups to execute robust engagement in political and grassroots activities. In addition, the position is responsible for coordinating, managing logistics, developing content, and tracking stakeholders to support the Political Mobilization team’s advocacy efforts. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Political Mobilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates scheduling and logistics for coalition calls, stakeholder meetings, webinars, and seminars.
- Develops written communications (e.g., outreach materials, meeting summaries, talking points, action alerts, presentations, training materials, etc.) to inform relevant internal and/or external audiences of priority issues and program actions and results.
- Assists in the creation, marketing and implementation of digital and social media campaigns including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and digital advocacy tools.
- Mobilizes political assets in targeted districts to engage in Congressional plant tours, district meetings, political fundraisers, etc., on a sustained basis.
- Supports day-to-day operations and liaise with relevant ACC staff, member company representatives, and various third-party consultants/vendors.
- Organizes and streamlines stakeholder files, including contribution tracking and coalition documentation.
- Supports regular check-ins with key partners and flag emerging opportunities or issues.
- Monitors and tracks digital ad campaigns by maintaining the Monday.com schedule, providing content and additional information to third party vendors.
- Coordinates with appropriate State Affairs regional staff, including planning grassroots meetings, preparing appropriate leave-behind materials, and attending meetings/conferences, as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Three years of relevant campaign or political experience.
- Familiarity with and interest in public policy process and grassroots strategies, tools, and tactics.
- Thorough knowledge of social media applications, specifically Facebook and Twitter.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues, projects, tasks and information/requests.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a changing legislative and political environment.
- Strong written and extemporaneous communication skills.
- Experience working with internet applications, including website management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel, as needed, within the United States.
Preferred:
- Federal or state candidate campaign or district office work experience.
- Corporate or trade association experience.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

Salary : $75,600 - $90,720
