We're seeking a skilled Plant Metallurgist to join our technical team to ensure the highest standards in metallurgical performance and process control. As the Plant Metallurgist, you will be responsible for overseeing metallurgical processes in our ductile iron foundry to ensure product integrity, process consistency, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with operations to troubleshoot casting issues and uphold industry and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control metallurgical parameters to customer specifications.
• Perform metallurgical analysis to ensure our processes and procedures are being followed.
• Drive continuous improvement in metallurgical practices to improve yield, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead root cause investigations for metallurgical or casting defects and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical training and support to foundry personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in a foundry environment, preferably with ductile iron.
• Strong understanding of iron metallurgy and foundry practices.
• Familiarity with spectrometry, microstructural analysis, and mechanical testing.
• Problem-solving mindset with hands-on troubleshooting ability.
• Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills.
