Driver Associate Position Summary
The Driver Associate ensures the safe, timely, and courteous transportation of patients from their homes to designated American Care medical facilities, referral services, and return to their homes. Drivers are responsible for keeping the vehicles and the equipment well maintained, ensuring that the vehicle has all necessary supplies and maintenance services performed.
Driver Associate Essential Job Functions

- Picks up daily transportation schedule from the medical office.
- Ensures that licensure and insurance documents pertaining to company-assigned vehicle are safely locked in the vehicle’s compartment at all times.
- Ascertains that transportation schedule provided by the medical office includes the patients’ addresses.
- In the case of unforeseen delays, contacts the medical office to notify the patient to inform them of the issue.
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred experience.
- Minimum one year of transportation services required.
- Must possess 2-3 years in the transportation area with a current, valid Florida driver’s license.
- Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record and criminal history record.
