Community Resources Associate Position Summary
The Community Resource Associate is responsible in providing assistance to Department of Children and Families, guiding clients in applying for food stamps, Medicaid, and cash assistance.
Community Resources Associate Essential Job Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Assist individuals and families to apply online for Medicaid, food stamps and temporary cash assistance. Assists individuals with social security questions- including obtaining replacement cards and assisting individuals that request assistance to call the Social Security Administration.
- Assist clients to contact DCF for interviews or any questions about their cases.
- Download government forms available online and assist applicants in completing the necessary forms.
- Generate a monthly report that contains all the enrollments requests, effective date, and health plan.
Community Resources Associate Required Education and Experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Relevant or any other job-related vocational coursework.
- Sales and Marketing experience
- Medicare knowledge
- *Eligible for car allowance* - travel to events using personal vehicle
