APT Press Operator

Job Duties: 

Perform daily functions for the production of parts.  Product manufacturing within the cell.  Daily, periodic, and preventative maintenance of APT presses.  Maintain a clean and safe work area.  Record all necessary data pertaining to assigned job instructions. Must be qualified to use the APT 4000.  Must be available to qualify additional equipment within the Cylinder line to support production.  Arriving at work on time for every scheduled shift.  Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient with APT 4000 change out of tooling, troubleshooting of equipment when necessary.   Able to meet all previously established production rates on a consistent basis.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as necessary to properly fill out production reports and to request additional support as needed.  Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Able to use measuring tools to determine the Quality Assurance specifications are met. Candidate must keep area neat, clean and organized. Minimum criteria for bid includes:

1. No warnings for attendance, either verbal or written, in the last 6 months.
2. No recorded quality discrepancies within the last 6 months.
3. No production performance issues within the last 6 months.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  The associate frequently is required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to support production needs.  The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 45 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision (with or without corrective lenses), and the ability to adjust focus.
