SUMMARY:
A working position which is responsible for maintaining production in the saw department meeting production rates set forth within the company.
AUTHORITY: This individual has authority over no other employee but may ask others within their department to help them with tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Will include the following but is not limited to:
Record all necessary data pertaining to assigned job instructions.
Work under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor.
Ability to refill saw with proper coolant when needed.
Ability to enter, follow, and modify saw.
Ability to keep track of inventory on saw blades and inform supervisor when more blades need ordered in a timely manner.
Ability to cut bar stock end before starting new bars.
Ability to operate crane safely and properly.
Ability to rework and deburr as instructed by supervisor or lead personnel.
Arriving at work on time for every scheduled shift.
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 0-12 months experience in the field of Manufacturing and/or production or equivalent experience.
Minimum 0-12 months experience in the field of Manual Machining.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as necessary to properly fill out production reports and to request additional support as needed.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Able to use measuring tools to determine that Quality Assurance specifications are met.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE: The employee will be expected to meet efficiency ratings of 80% or better.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to support production needs. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision (with or without corrective lenses), and the ability to adjust focus. WORK
ENVIRONMENT: Production paced operations to support customer (internal and external) demands. Decision making ability to support production as needed.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age or older.
