Job Summary:
A skilled cabinet installer will install cabinets according to written or verbal instructions by using a variety of hand and/or power tools. May work independently or in a supervisory role on a job site.
Duties/Responsibilities:
(You will be evaluated on your ability to perform these functions competently with minimal supervision and/or reminders.)
- Additional duties may be added as necessary to meet the needs of the Company: Deliver cabinets to location.
- Verify dimensions or check the quality or fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Follow blueprints to measure and mark dimensions to confirm before installing.
- May Install hardware, such as hinges, handles, catches, or drawer pulls, using hand tools. * Position cabinets and attach to walls or floors.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area. Discard trash, sweep
- Responsible for successful installation on job and completion of job related paperwork.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Represent ABI with a positive and respectful attitude.
- Good communication skills. * Read a tape measure and use hand tools.
- Read and understand English
- Math * Carpentry/woodworking
- Operate a forklift
- Quality control
- Dependable
- Attention to detail Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 3 years of experience fabricating/installing cabinets.
- Apprenticeship or college courses in cabinetry and/or woodworking a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Good hand and eye coordination.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, and/or bending May need to climb stairs or ladders.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. * Work will be inside but may occasionally involve some outside work. Travel required to job sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
