Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Test electrical systems using devices such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose issues accurately.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safety and compliance.
- Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes in industrial settings.
- Collaborate with construction teams on framing carpentry, schematics interpretation, and other related tasks to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct inspections of electrical installations to ensure safety standards are met; perform maintenance as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations for compliance purposes.
- Assist with renovation projects by updating existing wiring or installing new electrical components in commercial or industrial environments.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical work.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical diagrams is essential.
- Knowledge of NEC regulations governing low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in automation environments is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools used in electrical installations.
- Ability to use testing equipment like ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical issues accurately.
