What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manufacturing Technician position at American Braiding & Manufacturing?
We are a small, Veteran-owned manufacturer of fluid sealing products serving both military and commercial markets. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Manufacturing Production Technician to support senior personnel and contribute to daily manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on role with on-the-job training and opportunity for advancement for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in product manufacturing, assembly, and processing
- Perform quality checks and support quality assurance processes
- Operate and monitor production equipment
- Support setup and operation of CNC machinery (training available for the right candidate)
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on machinery and equipment
- Handle shipping and receiving duties, including packaging, labeling, and verifying incoming/outgoing materials
- Maintain inventory organization and assist with stock management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with general shop and production tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good practical reasoning and basic math skills
- Mechanically inclined with an interest in equipment operation and repair
- Ability to learn and operate CNC machinery (prior experience a plus, but not required)
- Basic computer skills (data entry, shipping, etc.)
- Reliable transportation is required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred (Not Required):
- Prior manufacturing or production experience
- Experience with CNC machines and mechanical repair
- Shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
