What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving-Shipping-Material Handling position at American Bin & Conveyor, LLC?
American Bin and Conveyor is looking for a Shipping/Loading/Material Handler at our Burlington, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible conveying, loading, and unloading of parts and materials to designated areas. Helps maintain the yard and grounds and assists as needed throughout the facility. Must be forklift certified or be able to obtain certification and have ability to operate overhead crane. Must be able to perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining all Company safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enter packing slip information into company systems with accuracy.
• Document discrepancies and work with Purchasing for resolution.
• Respond to vendor and internal emails regarding receiving issues.
• Stage materials in designated areas and maintain accurate records.
• Follow and execute shipping schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Arrange trucks, trailers, and carriers to meet outbound shipping needs.
• Coordinate with production and project managers to confirm readiness of shipments.
• Communicate shipping updates and respond to customer/partner emails.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and trailers.
• Band, palletize, and prepare equipment/parts for shipment.
• Handle and deliver materials to production areas as required.
• Keep yard and inventory organized; assist with grounds maintenance.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and follow safety standards. Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain); overhead crane operation training provided.
• Computer skills for email communication and data entry (basic Excel/ERP preferred).
• Ability to climb onto/off trailers while wearing PPE.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in all seasons.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
