About the Caregiver PositionWe are looking for a qualified Caregiver to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner. It's often a demanding job as you will have to be available for most of the day and week. But, it can also be very gratifying. People who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly are deserving and thankful for the exceptional support.The ideal candidate will be dependable and courteous with outstanding communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients.Caregiver ResponsibilitiesHelp clients take prescribed medicationAssist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)Assist clients with personal care and hygieneHelp clients with physical therapy exercisesPlan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shopPerform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their ownBe a pleasant and supportive companionReport any unusual incidentsAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencyCaregiver RequirementsProven experience as a caregiver. We will train you.Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraintsWillingness to adhere to health and safety standardsRespectful and compassionateGood time management skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsStrong ethicsPhysical enduranceHigh school diploma or equivalent
