We're hiring a Tax & Accounting Specialist who's sharp with numbers, dependable under deadlines, and genuinely excited to learn. This is an entry-level role with real room to grow — you'll support our accounting team with tax preparation, financial record keeping, and client account work, while picking up bookkeeping skills along the way.
What You'll Do
- Assist with preparation of federal and state payroll tax returns for individuals and small businesses
- Support month-end and year-end accounting close processes
- Reconcile accounts, review transactions, and flag discrepancies for resolution
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and internal systems
- Prepare basic financial reports, summaries, and supporting schedules
- Assist clients and internal teams with accounting questions and documentation requests
- Keep organized, well-documented work files that meet accuracy and compliance standards

- You communicate clearly and aren't afraid to ask a question when something's unclear
- You're a quick learner who's excited about building real-world accounting experience
- You treat sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism
- You take ownership — when you're given a task, it gets done right and on time
What You Have
- 1–2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, or a related role
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and financial data
- Basic understanding of tax concepts, accounting principles, or bookkeeping
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred — but not required with the right experience
Pay: Based on Experience
Worksite: In Office, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm
