What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Mental Health Professional position at American Behavioral Health Systems?
ABHS is looking for an experienced Mental Health Professional (MHP, LICSW, LMHC, LSWIC, LASW) to assist our team and provide assessment, case management, crisis counseling, mental health and educational services to American Behavioral Health Systems clients at our Parkside facility in Wenatchee, WA.
Starting pay:
MHP Associate - $34/hr
MHP - $44/hr
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM
Job Qualifications:
Must have an master's degree in human services (or related field) and meet the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) requirements for an Agency Affiliated Counselor or higher and Mental Health Professional (MHP). MHPA or LMHC.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provides thorough intake assessment of client needs and treatment recommendations. Assists with appropriate referrals and linkage to internal and community resources and other treatment.
- Develops measurable treatment objectives and obtainable goals to address identified needs within designated timeframes.
- Monitors treatment progress and provides updates within identified timeframes
- Performs trauma-informed, behavioral health counseling, utilizing evidence- based practices.
- Responds to crisis situations and triages appropriately. Facilitates emergency transportation if needed and communicates pertinent information to appropriate professional internally and externally.
- Collaborates with other treatment providers in weekly team meetings.
- Completes documentation within designated timeframes as established by ABHS and external regulatory agencies.
- Secures treatment funding through obtaining authorizations, accurate documentation, updating demographics and submitting authorization forms in a timely manner.
- Acting court evaluator for Parkside facility
- Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
Must be able to use computer keyboard and view monitor for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work independently; work and communicate with other professionals in an effective and professional manner; must have good time management skills and meet required deadlines; be able to work under stressful conditions.
Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screens.
