JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Receptionist
Status: Full-time/Hourly
Position Reports to: Administrator
Job Summary:
To answer all incoming phone calls and to route those calls to appropriate parties in a cheerful and cooperative manner. To manage office supply inventory and purchases. To answer client inquiries by outside agencies or individuals using confidentiality guidelines. To meet and greet the public and direct them to the appropriate area.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in work as a receptionist and/or working with the public. One-year experience with multiple phone lines.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and walk. Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Must be able to use computer keyboard and view monitor for short periods of time.
Work Environment:
Moderate noise (business office with computers, printers, light traffic).

1. Answer and route all in-coming phone calls.
2. Manage all client inquiries by outside agencies and individuals using confidentiality guidelines.
3. Manage Office Supply inventory.
4. Assist with Clerical duties as assigned.
5. Send all faxes as requested.
6. Make copies as requested
7. Present as cheerful, cooperative, and informative to the public in both telephone interactions and office interactions.
8. Assure that all American Behavioral Health clients’ needs are being met immediately with dignity and respect.
9. Always make decision based on the welfare of the client, the success of the team, and the quality and integrity of the program.
10. To assure all assignments are performed in a professional and caring manner.
11. Understand and facilitate federal confidentiality laws, 42 CFR, protect client confidentiality/anonymity, and assure no information is shared without proper authorization.
12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records.
13. Must be able to take written and/or verbal orders and perform other duties as assigned.
14. Respond to the directives of the Administrator and administrative staff in a professional and cooperative manner.
15. Assures that all ABHS’ clients’ needs are met with dignity and respect and in a timely manner.
16. Makes decisions based on the welfare of the client, the success of the team, and the quality and integrity of the program.
17. Understands and facilitates federal confidentiality laws, 42 CFR, and protects client confidentiality/anonymity, and assures no information is shared without proper authorization.
18. Ensures compliance to contractual obligations, ABHS policies, and State statues (WACs)
19. The Receptionist will be required to obtain an Agency Affiliated Credential through the Department of Health.
