Job description
American Behavioral Health Systems (ABHS) is looking for Behavioral Health Technicians to work at our facility in Chehalis, WA. Behavioral Health Technicians document client progress and behavior, communicate with families and members of the treatment team, and intervene as necessary during emergencies. This position manages the intake and discharge process while ensuring the safety and security of the patient and his or her personal property. Behavioral Health Technicians also assist nursing staff as necessary.
Pay & Schedule:
- Option 1: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Starting pay for Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) is $19.50 per hour, with opportunities to earn more through shift differentials:
- $1.00/hour for swing shifts
- $2.00/hour for graveyard shifts and weekends
Growth doesn’t stop there - after training, you can eventually promote to a Lead BHT role with a base pay of $22.00 per hour. Plus, once you’re med cart certified, you’ll receive an additional $1.00/hour on top of your base pay and any shift differentials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Prefer past experience in social work, nursing homes, community behavioral health clinics or hospitals.
Preference will be given to candidates with de-escalation experience.
Preference given to candidates with CNA / NAR certification.
Preference will be given to candidates with MEDICATION experience
Must have a genuine concern for people and a proven history of reliability
There are currently no day shifts available, however, you can be bid into once one becomes available.
