Maintenance mechanics would be responsible for the installation, repair, routine upkeep of machinery, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance: Performing scheduled inspections, cleaning, and servicing (lubrication, filter changes) to prevent equipment failure.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Installation & Assembly: Setting up new machinery, assembling components, and testing systems for proper functionality.
- Emergency Response: Conducting rapid repairs during unexpected breakdowns to minimize production loss.
- Facility Upkeep: Handling general building maintenance tasks.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed logs of work performed, parts used, and inventory levels.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Tool Usage: Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like lathes, hoists, and welding gear.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, work in confined spaces, and lift heavy equipment (typically 50 lbs).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently or in a team environment.
