The Opportunity

American Bath Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in Savannah, Tennessee. This role exists to help support the day-to-day accounting workload, strengthen month-end close execution, and provide reliable accounting support across multiple entities.

We're looking for someone who can step into a general accounting environment, contribute quickly, and work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization. What You'll Do

• Prepare and record journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Assist with external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and production teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 6–12 months, you will:

• Consistently complete assigned accounting responsibilities accurately and on time.
• Successfully support month-end close activities with minimal supervision.
• Produce reliable reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals with limited rework.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Help reduce workload for the accounting team by independently managing routine accounting functions.
• Become a trusted contributor who can effectively manage priorities in a multi-entity environment.

Work Environment

• Onsite position based in Savannah, Tennessee.
• Standard Monday–Friday schedule, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Structured accounting environment built around monthly close cycles.
• Workload increases during month-end close periods.
• Multi-company environment requiring flexibility, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Team-oriented atmosphere with opportunities to learn and contribute across various accounting functions.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or progress towards CPA designation.
• Experience within a manufacturing or other complex business environment.
• Experience with LeaseQuery, or other lease-compliance software, is a plus.
