About the Role:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing relationships with DreamLine dealers (delivering timely communication, expert product knowledge, and a positive experience) while growing DreamLine sales opportunities and revenue in the field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Effectively communicate DreamLine’s value proposition to prospective and current DreamLine dealers.
· Systematically manage and cultivate a portfolio of accounts to develop long term, positive, and increasingly profitable relationships.
· Meets or exceeds KPI’s to hit company objectives including (a) obtaining high levels of dealer satisfaction, and (b) increasing portfolio revenue by both upselling/broadening current accounts as well as generating/securing new dealer accounts utilizing a variety of methods including networking opportunities.
· Initiates strategic and ongoing communication with all accounts, satisfying dealer needs, responding to their inquirer’s in a timely manner, and aspiring to deliver best-in-class service.
· Develops, together with department leadership, strategic sales initiatives, value incentives, and promotions.
· Assists and supports the strategy and execution of product launches and promotions.
· Maintains responsibility for the entire sales life cycle, from account forecasting, budget appropriation, sales (individual transaction) tracking, monitoring of sales metrics, etc.
· Manages efforts in order to reach targets aligned with company objectives, as well as, making recommendations for process improvements and tactically identifying new dealer growth opportunities.
· Provides accurate dealer/sales data for reporting purposes (to managers, executive management, and other key stakeholders).
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars/workshops and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
· Cross trains back-up support staff.
· Deliver, set up and maintain physical product displays and product literature in each account location
· Promotes a cooperative work environment and support coworkers by interacting and responding respectfully and assisting in other areas as needed.
· Travels daily and is able to manage a travel schedule that allows for maximum sales visits.
· Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent.
· 3 or more years of proven Customer Relations experience.
· Proven experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (Salesforce preferred) &/or Project Management (PM) software.
· Experience managing customers and call reporting on sales.
· Experience in the glass industry, building materials or construction preferred.
· Understands pricing, general math, general measuring, and the ability to quote jobs.
· Moderate knowledge and ability to use the internet, Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook.
· Self-motivated and comfortable working with little or no direction.
· Detail oriented, excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
· Ability to write routine reports for correspondence.
· Must be able to easily understand customer’s needs, communicate effectively internally and externally and follow up with customers as needed.
· Active listener and effective communicator (all mediums), ensuring a client-centric attitude, with the ability to adapt to a client’s (and the company’s) changing needs &/or priorities.
· Dependable with a strong work ethic plus a professional and engaging attitude.
· Highly developed soft skills, including the ability to prioritize, negotiate, problem solve, and resolve conflicts.
· Skillful Communication/presentation techniques.
