Job description:

Collector 1 – Early Delinquency Specialist (1–30 Days Past Due)

A Collector 1 is primarily responsible for servicing accounts that are in the early stages of delinquency (1–30 days past due). The focus of this role is to engage borrowers proactively and support them in resolving their past due status through education and solution-oriented communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify borrower information to ensure accuracy.
• Educate borrowers on available payment methods and tools.
• Promote solutions that encourage successful repayment and prevent further delinquency.
• Build relationships with borrowers to understand their situation and guide them toward resolution.
• Document interactions clearly and accurately in the system.

The goal is to assist borrowers early in the delinquency cycle, helping them stay on track and avoid deeper financial challenges.

Additional Duties/Responsibilities:

· Responsible for meeting daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

· Service both outbound collection attempts and inbound loan service requests.

· Perform all loan maintenance which includes but is not limited to notes, updates and or changes.

Qualification Requirements:

· Able to pass a background check

· Bilingual (Spanish) Required

· Minimum 1 year experience in collections or collections-like position is required

· Must have superb time management skills

· Strong communication and negotiation skills

· Motivated individual with the ability to work independently.

· Ability to analyze and resolve issues making sound judgments.

· Be able to perform a variety of duties at once, often changing from one task to another.
